These instructions are to connect your portable device to your campus wireless network. The Guest networks are for pre-assigned visitor access, your wireless network will have a name matching your campus name.
Windows 10
- Select your school or college Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
- Enter in your username in the Identity field (e.g. JB.12345).
- Enter your college password into the Password field and click connect.
- If your device asks if you expected the name, select yes.
- If your device asks you if you would like to be discoverable by other network users, select no.
Android
- Switch your device’s Wi-Fi on.
- Tap on the school or Wi-Fi network for your campus.
- Select PEAP as the EAP method.
- Select MSCHAPV2 as the Phase 2 Authentication method.
- Choose to “Use System Certificates” under CA Certificate.
- Choose “Do Not Verify” under CA verification.
- Enter your domain as: curriculum.pursglove.ac.uk – This may only be required on new devices.
- If your device requests a minimum TLS version, choose TLS v1.2.
- Provide your username in the Identity field. (eg. PPCNET\AB.12345)
- Leave Anonymous Identity and Anonymous Password fields blank.
- Enter your password into the Password field.
- Save and connect.
iOS
- Open Settings and navigate to Wi-Fi.
- Tap on the Wi-Fi network for your campus.
- Enter your usual username and password into the required fields. (eg. AB.12345)
- Click Trust on the top right of your phone, to trust the Wi-Fi certificate.
- Save and connect.
Windows Phone
- Open Settings and go to Wireless Networks.
- Tap on the college Wi-Fi network and provide your network username and password.
- Set the Server certificate validation to “None”.
Mac
- Click on the network icon at the top right of your device and click on the Wi-Fi network for your campus.
- Enter your domain as : curriculum.pursglove.ac.uk – This may only be required on new devices.
- Provide your network username and password in the required fields.
Chromebooks
- Select the College Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
- Set your EAP method to PEAP and set your Phase 2 Authentication method to MSCHAPV2.
- Enter your domain as : curriculum.pursglove.ac.uk – This may only be required on new devices.
- Enter in your college username into the Identity field (e.g. JB.12345)
- Enter in your password into the Password field.
- Save and connect.
